# A/R Aging Detail

See every open invoice behind your receivables balance, grouped by how overdue it is.

#### Accessing the report

Go to Reporting → A/R Aging Detail. The report shows balances as of today by default. Use the date picker to choose a different as-of date, and the entity dropdown to filter by entity.

The date picker includes presets for common dates: today, yesterday, and the end of this/last week, month, quarter, and year.

The report uses the Accrual ledger. It's available on **Plus** and **Advanced**, for entities with the Accrual ledger on. Entities without an Accrual ledger are grayed out in the entity dropdown.

#### Report structure

Open invoices are grouped into aging buckets based on how many days past due they are on the as-of date:

* Current — Not yet due, or no due date
* 1-30 — 1 to 30 days past due
* 31-60 — 31 to 60 days past due
* 61-90 — 61 to 90 days past due
* 91 and over — More than 90 days past due

Each bucket shows a subtotal, and a grand total appears at the bottom. Use Expand all and Collapse all to show or hide the invoices in each bucket.

Each invoice row includes these columns:

* Date — The invoice date
* Source — Invoice (or QuickBooks for receivables brought over from QuickBooks)
* Reference — The journal entry for the invoice
* Customer
* Description
* Class
* Entity — Shown when the report includes more than one entity
* Due date
* Amount — The invoice amount
* Open — The amount still owed on the as-of date

The open amount is the invoice amount minus payments received on or before the as-of date. Draft invoices aren't included, and neither are invoices that were paid, voided, or marked uncollectible on or before the as-of date.

***

#### Filters

Click Add filter to narrow the report further. Available filters:

* Class — Filter by class or subclass
* Customer — Filter by customer
* Terms — Filter by payment terms
* Created on — Filter by the invoice date
* Due date — Filter by due date
* Account — Filter by where the invoice came from, such as Kick or a connected invoicing integration

Active filters appear as removable chips below the toolbar. Click Clear all to reset.

***

#### Drilling down

* Click the Source on any row to open the invoice's line items.
* Click the Reference to open the journal entry behind the receivable.

***

#### Export

Export the A/R Aging Detail as .xlsx or .pdf from the download menu in the top right, based on any filtered report.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.kick.co/accountants/reports/a-r-aging-detail.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
